Our posts haven’t been very numerous or insightful for the last week or so. There is a reason! We are preparing RJ for a broker! Yes, we are selling another boat. The decision was made just before Thanksgiving that she just wasn’t the right boat. Although there are many things we love about this boat, she wasn’t made for cruising. So, we are doing a couple fixes and clearing off our boat stuff once again to go by UHaul to storage. Deja Vu all over again.
RJ will be listed here in Beaufort by a local Broker. He thinks she will sell fast (don’t they all say that) because she is clean and from freshwater. We’ll see. He is listing her for a bit more than we paid so maybe, after his commission, we will recoup some of our money for the engine repair.
We have made an offer on another boat located in Rock Hall, Maryland. This is the reason we drove all around the Cheasepeake when we went to pick up the truck. She is a 1987 32′ Transpacific Eagle Trawler. She has lots of new equipment and updates. We both fell hard for this boat. Classic design with a beautiful wood interior. She’ll be a lot slower with a single Diesel engine but also won’t go through fuel like RJ. So, fingers crossed…….

Another year, another boat! Fingers crossed for you.

so you didn’t like green. I know that is it!
You missed the first snow storm here! Scandia only got half and inch out of it though so it will be all gone by the time you get home, or another will blow in.
I can hardly wait for the new name and the next for sale sign. L
