It’s all confusing. We’d get to a spot, I’d memorize where the boat is docked and then we’d move someplace else.
I’m not sure Joe realizes that we are now exactly in the same spot as when we started.
All and all, it’s fun. They hardly ever leave me alone on the boat and one day when they did I found half of an uneaten sandwich in the garbage. I think I know why it was tossed–chipotle mayo isn’t that good. Mom seemed pretty concerned that I would be sick but you know it was better than an old, dead mouse. Speaking of which, I am honing my mousing skills on little lizards. They’re fast, but so far I’ve caught a couple.

When we where in a spot further south, mom kept telling me to stay on the boat or an alligator would eat me. She said I would be a tasty morsel. I did not know what any of this meant until a visit to the Monroe Harbor Marina in Sanford, FL on Lake Monroe. Here we ran into my first ‘gator.

Mom didn’t know it was fake! Look at how ascared she is!
We go on lots of long walks. Sometimes ending up at places that have lots of water and huge waves. The water tastes funny; smells funny too. I enjoy it all and really like running fast and playing and digging in the sand. They took me to dunes park today. It’s a long walk but at the end is the big water. I like to play in and near the big water.

I saw a little girl who looked like a miniature of my friend Ellie. Her name was Sugar; she was pretty cute–just a puppy. Mom got all dopey about her.
I really don’t know why we have this tiny house now. I kind of miss the old place with all the places to nap, but, as long as I get to go with, I am a happy girl. Maybe a new house boat would be nice. We found this one day.

Plenty of room for everyone.
There have been some rainy days too. I get to wear my Helly Hansen rain gear. Everyone tells me how cute I am. No one ever tells my mom and dad they’re cute; I feel bad for them.

Buy that houseboat and I’ll come and eat lizards with you. Miss you, Coconut!
